Empowering Dreams, Transforming Futures
Bridging the educational gap for underprivileged youth and displaced communities from Jammu & Kashmir.
1. About the Programme
The Kashyap Seva Foundation (KSF) Scholarship Programme was launched with a singular, profound vision: to ensure that financial hardship never stands in the way of academic excellence. Registered under the Indian Trust Act since 2008 in New Delhi, KSF has institutionalised a robust support mechanism targeted at brilliant young minds who lack the economic means to pursue higher education.
While the foundation caters to underprivileged students across diverse backgrounds, it places a deep, dedicated focus on young boys and girls from the displaced community of Jammu & Kashmir. Decades of displacement have disrupted families, fractured livelihoods, and jeopardised the academic aspirations of thousands of children. KSF steps in as a vital anchor, helping these resilient students reclaim their futures through the transformative power of quality education.
2. Strategic Objectives
- Financial Relief: Eliminating the burden of tuition, books, and essential academic expenses.
- Inclusivity & Gender Parity: Prioritising equal educational access for deserving young girls and boys alike.
- Community Rehabilitation: Healing historical socio-economic displacement through sustainable intellectual empowerment.
- Career Catalyst: Nurturing recipients to become self-reliant professionals who eventually give back to society. [1]
3. Eligibility Criteria
To ensure that help reaches those who need it most, KSF implements a transparent and rigorous screening process based on the following pillars:
- Socio-Economic Background: Applicants must belong to economically weaker sections (EWS) with verified income thresholds.
- Academic Merit: Students must demonstrate a consistent, strong academic track record in their previous qualifying examinations.
- Community Focus: Preference and specialized allocations are reserved for displaced students originally from Jammu & Kashmir.
- Enrollment Status: Candidates must be enrolled in, or holding a valid admission offer from, a recognized school, college, or professional institution.
